About Walamba House

A relaxing stay for everyone!

If leaving the hustle and bustle of a busy lifestyle is what you are looking for, then Walamba House is your perfect holiday getaway. Walamba House (meaning ‘come back’ in the local Indigenous Darkinyung language) is a spacious, comfortable and relaxing house, ideal for a big family, 2 families or some friends.

Escape to Walamba House, Pearl Beach

Walamba House is ideally located in Pearl Beach village, and barely a 3 minute walk its pristine, calm beach, which includes the recently restored rock pool. Pass the village general store, cafe, playground and restaurant on the way. Despite being so close to all the conveniences, this house feels totally secluded and peaceful, being surrounded by natural bushland, immensely tall gum trees and open spaces.

Take in the peace and quiet of village living, stop and smell the fresh sea air, relax in the wide covered courtyard overlooking the bushland and soak up the slow pace of Pearl Beach time.

The perfect family getaway

Relax in the tranquil bush setting, while knowing the whole family is going to enjoy themselves thoroughly. Walamba House is owned by a young family, so has everything you need with small kids – with a port-a-cot, high chair, toddler chair, toys, books, movies, beach toys – all ready and waiting to be used!

The kitchen has been thoughtfully put together by a mum who wants the conveniences of home. Whether it’s cooking up a big pasta dish for everyone, or a cake for afternoon tea, you’ll find everything you need in the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with kid friendly plates, bowls, cups and cutlery. The pantry even has plenty of the essentials you need. The dining area has a huge table with seating for 8 as does the outdoor setting.

Rejuvenate and re-energise

Walamba House sleeps up to 8 people. The master bedroom with ensuite has a queen bed, the middle bedroom has 2 single bunk beds, sleeping 4 and the third bedroom also has a queen bed. The port-a-cot will easily fit into the master bedroom. The beds all have cotton or bamboo doonas and curtains to block out the light when needed for a lovely late sleep in.

In the open plan lounge room is a 40” flat screen TV with surround sound, blu ray, DVD and iPhone dock. Bring your own DVDs or Blurays – or choose from the selection in the house. The lounge is wide and soft – perfect for settling in to watch a movie at night.

The floors are tiled throughout, and there are plenty of fans. However, the house is quite cool due to its tree enclosed position.

Surrounded by bushland and under the canopy of the trees

The outdoor area is perfect for an early evening BBQ, with a large outdoor setting and there is an outdoor shower to hose off all the sand from the beach. You will meet our local birdlife – the bush turkeys and kookaburras, and if you’re lucky, the family of lyrebirds will also stroll past on their way through the reserve. The sea breeze and sounds from the ocean can be heard between the calls of the birds.
